Coffee-Spiked Dutch Oven Cobbler

Coffee-Spiked Dutch Oven Cobbler

Some desserts are good. This one is bold. Dutch oven cobbler is already a crowd-pleaser, but when you add Brew Buddy Roast Max Caf to the mix, you get a deep, rich flavor that takes it to a whole new level.

It's simple to make, impossible to forget, and pairs perfectly with a fresh cup of the same coffee you baked with.

What You'll Need

For the Fruit Filling:

  • 4 cups mixed berries or sliced peaches (fresh or frozen)
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp Brew Buddy Roast Max Caf (brewed strong, cooled)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

For the Cobbler Topping:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Brew Buddy Roast Max Caf (brewed strong, cooled)

To Serve:

  • Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
  • Extra Max Caf drizzle (optional but highly recommended)

How to Make It

1. Make the Filling

Combine the fruit, sugar, Max Caf, vanilla, and cornstarch in your Dutch oven or a large baking dish. Stir to coat evenly.

2. Mix the Topping

In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk, melted butter, and Max Caf until just combined — don't overmix. Drop spoonfuls over the fruit filling.

3. Bake

Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30–35 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling around the edges.

4. Serve

Scoop into bowls, top with vanilla ice cream, and serve immediately. The contrast of warm cobbler and cold ice cream is everything.

Why Max Caf?

Max Caf is Brew Buddy Roast's boldest, highest-caffeine blend — deep, rich, and intense. In this cobbler, it cuts through the sweetness of the fruit and adds a roasted complexity to the topping that regular coffee just can't deliver.

It's the kind of ingredient that makes people ask, "What's in this?" — and you'll love having the answer.

Tips

  • Frozen fruit works great — no prep needed and it releases extra juice as it bakes.
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon or cardamom to the filling for extra warmth.
  • Make the Max Caf extra strong for a more pronounced coffee flavor.
  • Leftovers are incredible cold the next morning alongside a fresh cup of Max Caf.
