FAQ (Frequently — and Not So Frequently — Asked Questions)

We get questions. Some of them are about coffee. Some of them are deeply personal. Here are our honest answers to all of them.

The Coffee Questions

Is your coffee really roasted to order?
Yes. Every single bag. We don't roast in bulk and let it sit around getting sad. You order, we roast, we ship. Your coffee arrives fresh, not existentially tired.

How fresh is "fresh"?
We're talking days, not weeks or months. Most coffee on store shelves was roasted so long ago it has nostalgia for its youth. Ours doesn't.

What's the best roast?
The one you actually enjoy drinking. Anyone who tells you otherwise is trying to sell you something, or is insufferable at dinner parties, or both.

Do I need a fancy grinder?
A good grinder helps. A great grinder helps more. A $4,000 grinder helps exactly as much as a $200 grinder and also makes you question your life choices. Start somewhere reasonable and upgrade when you're ready.

Can I use your beans in a regular drip machine?
Absolutely. We support all brewing methods equally and without judgment. Even the Keurig. (We said what we said.)

What does "single origin" mean?
It means the beans come from one specific farm or region, not a blend of wherever-we-could-find-beans. It's the difference between knowing exactly where your food came from and just hoping for the best.

Is your coffee strong?
That depends entirely on how much you use. We're not going to water it down for you. You're an adult. You know what you need.

The Adventure Questions

Can I take your coffee camping?
That is literally what it was made for. Pack it. Brew it over a fire. Feel like a legend.

Will your coffee make me better at fishing?
We cannot legally guarantee this. We can say that being awake and caffeinated is statistically better than being asleep in your boat.

Is this coffee good for gaming?
Our streamers and gamers say yes. We're not going to argue with people who are awake at 3am and winning.

Can I bring it to Cars & Coffee?
You can bring it. You will be the most prepared person there. People will ask where you got it. Tell them.

The Existential Questions

Why does my coffee taste bitter?
Over-extraction, water too hot, grind too fine, or you bought bad coffee somewhere else. We can only help with the last one.

How many cups of coffee is too many?
We are a coffee company. We are not going to answer this question.

Is coffee a personality?
For some people, yes. We respect that. We are those people.

What if I don't like my order?
Reach out. We're real humans who actually care. We'll make it right. That's not a legal disclaimer, that's just how we operate.

Do you ship fast?
We roast to order and ship promptly. "Fast" is relative when you're waiting for something this good, but yes — we move.
